Shortcut, Low Calorie Chocolate Mousse

I love light desserts.

Well, I love dense and rich desserts, too.

Oh who am I kidding? I love desert. Period.

But one of my absolute favorites is mousse. There is just something about the light and airy texture. Plus, I don’t feel weighed down after eating it. Perfect for warmer weather instead of a decadent dessert. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to eat a molten cake when I’m about to hit the pool in a bathing suit.

The only problem is that a traditional mousse usually calls for full fat cream, egg yolks, and a ton of added sugar. Which totally defeats the purpose of having a “light & airy” dessert.  It’s packed with calories, fat, and sugar.

This one isn’t!!

This mousse is perfect for a cool dessert that’s a much healthier option than the traditional recipe. Low in calories and sugar, without sacrificing flavor.

In an added bonus, this mousse takes 3 minutes to make and 5 minutes to chill in the fridge before it’s ready to serve. Yay!
